Holistic Speech Pathology
At Sedona Speech, nurturing the whole person is important! We incorporate holistic and naturopathic approaches whenever appropriate.
Sessions may include:
- Earthing for comfort, calm and presence
- Aromatherapy to address issues and enhance mood, focus, creativity
- Natural textures and materials such as basketry and wood for increased sense of calm
- Simple breathwork (limited to a few moments) for focus or refocus and wellbeing
- Nature scenes for increased calm and wellbeing
- Therapy materials featuring local nature, healthy habits, whole foods, etc. when appropriate
- Purified air to decrease any allergens, toxins etc.
- Natural and incandescent lighting for increased wellbeing
- Colors that invoke calm
- Yoga poses for breaks, refocusing, calm
- Encouragement, when appropriate, to include whole, natural foods into the diet
- Crystals, salt lamp and stones inviting energetic balancing within the ambient environment
- Weighted blankets, varied seating postures, “wiggle seat” etc. as needed for focus and calm
- Plants to promote well being, memory retention, improved attention, creativity and overall happiness
